Giveaway Day!

I decided over the weekend that I was going to participate in Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day this time around.  It's my first giveaway on the blog and an item I hope ya'll will love it as much as I do.

I'm super excited to have all you lovely visitors stop by and hope you get the chance to look around a bit more here at Buzzing Around.  I live in West KY now and love to quilt so much that I work in a Quilt Museum.  best. job. ever!!   :D  Go ahead and become a follower and come back to visit again soon dear reader.

You can enter to win this Oval Box Bag I made and love.  It's exactly the right size to hold my spools of Aurifil thread and is really cute sitting by my machine.  I used Aneela Hoey's tutorial to make the bag and love how cute it turns out every time I make this pattern.

I'm looking for some new reads and would love suggestions.

  16. My current read is How To Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk. It's not the most fun book, but it's working with our just turned 4 yr old so I could definitely recommend it.

  22. I love anything by Kate Morton, especially Distant Hours, also The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. Both are mysteries about books. If you like something very differnt try The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. Thank you for a great giveaway.

  24. I just read Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier ~ I really enjoyed it. A little creepy but fun and not creepy in a pervert way but a little like an older mystery novel.

    I adored the Princess Bride {just as good as the movie}, the Sabril series by Nix, and I just got a book on CD from Gaiman. That is other than my quilting books like from Tula Pink, Elizabeth Hartman, etc etc.

  110. One of my favs is a novella by Steve Martin (yes arrow through the head) called Pleasure of My Company. It is quirky to be sure but I love it so much I read it every year. Highly recommended if you like oddball stories.

  153. I am reading Lisa Scottoline's new book, DOn't GO. I have really enjoyed all of her books. One of the reasons is they are usually based around Philadelphia and everytime she makes a reference to a local attraction, school, town, it is really fun to read about that.
