May Finishes
Nothing like a deadline and a goal to get me to my sewing room. These will be gifts in the coming weeks so they had to be done. It helped to make my May goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes to make both of these oval bags & here's my goal-setting post. It's always fun to choose fabrics I think the recipients will love.
This one is a graduation gift for a music lover! I had fun going through my music fabric stash to pick just the right combo.
Number two is a moving gift for one of the girls in a program I run at work. Hopefully she'll like the bright butterflies as much as I do!
**Edited 5/20/15:: pattern is from Aneela Hoey when it was a free tutorial, now available for sale in her shop.

These are great and I'm sure they'll be much appreciated! That bag is the same shape as the makeup bag that I've been using for a doz or so years (that is in desperate need of replacing....)

do you have a link for the pattern. I would love to make some of these.
ReplyDeleteLovely little bags... I have to say that I'm jealous that you've finished your goal for this month. I haven't even touched mine yet! Thanks for linking up with TGIFF!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE the music bag! Great job. Butterfly is very cute too and looks like my fabric - hehehe.
ReplyDeleteWow, cute and very useful gifts! I too would love to see the pattern.
ReplyDeleteVery practical and even prettier gifts. You really did a great job of finding a lining fabric to compliment the outside.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely bags and great fabric choices!
